Missing Houston Boy Found Alive In Las Cruces
A missing 2-year-old Houston boy was found in Las Cruces Saturday morning, according to Houston police.
Police said the boy was found with a friend of his mother’s and the friend’s boyfriend, who is a registered sex offender.
Police added the boy had no obvious signs of injury. His name has not been released.
Houston police Sgt. Richard Rodriguez said police got lucky since the couple was on their way to California with the boy when they were caught. Police said they found the boy and the couple sleeping in a parked car in Las Cruces.
Rodriguez added the mother’s friend kept the child overnight Thursday. The woman who allegedly took the child told the mother to meet her in two different places Friday to pick up the child but the woman never showed up.
