Fire Burning Near White Sands Missile Range Headquarters
A wildfire in the Organ Mountains continued to burn Saturday night.
Officials with the Bureau of Land Management said it sparked on Thursday at Fort Bliss’ Dona Ana Range, about two miles south of the White Sands Missile Range Headquarters.
BLM officials said the flames are about 60 percent contained and no buildings are threatened.
Officials also said about 2,500 acre have burned and the fire appears to be human caused.
