Fort Bliss Soldiers Expected To Arrive In EP Tonight From Iraq
The first group of soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division will return to Fort Bliss from Iraq about 8:05 p.m. today at El Paso International Airport.
The unit deployed to Iraq in August to train, advise and assist the Iraqi army and security forces.
The soldiers’ return is in conjunction with the Dec. 31, 2011 final withdrawal from operations in Iraq.
The soldiers who arrive early are part of an advance party that will begin preparations to receive two other battalions of the brigade.
