Claudia Ordaz sworn in as new city representative
El Paso’s newest city representative has taken her place on City Council.
“I’m just so incredibly humbled and grateful that I’m sitting up here with the mayor and council,” Ordaz told ABC-7.
Ordaz was sworn in Tuesday morning.
She won last month’s special election to represent District 6, which covers parts of the Lower Valley and East Side.
Ordaz will serve the rest of Eddie Holguin Jr.’s term until the next general election.
Holguin stepped down for what was ultimately an unsuccessful run for county judge.
