Fit for ’15 07.03.15: Patriotic Pops

day weekend is upon chef daniel guerra has a light, sweet and patriotic way to celebrate the fourth: 04 today we’re going to make three different flavored pops. 06 20 we’re going to start off with almond milk and sweeten it with honey. we’re going to flavor all with vanilla, then hit each with different flavors: first raspberry, then the blueberry, then we’ll make the lemon last. 35 1.49 we’re going to add the honey. probably about two tablespoons. 2.09 whisking 4.21 these blueberries were frozen previously. 4.24 4.34 the lemon is going to be enhanced with lemon extract. you can find this next to vanilla extract in grocery aisle. 7.11 we’re going to use fresh raspberries … 8.41 we’re going to add that to our blender. 8.47 9.08 blender 9.52 to make it a bit more patriotic, we are going to go with a little bit of blue food coloring 9.55 11.08 next we’re going to do our raspberry flavor 11.10 11.22 blender 11.58 this one is a bit pink, so we’re going to add red food coloring to make it a little bit more bright.12.04 12.35 you can add lemon zest, lemon juice, i’m adding lemon extract. 13.55 we’re going to do each one individually, so we’ll do a few rasp, lemon, few with blueberry. 14.02 chef guerra said you do not have to add food coloring if you don’t want to. and if you want to layer the pops — you should fill your cup or mold a third of the way, then let it set in the freezer up to two hours before adding the next layer. be sure to check out kvia.com’s fit for 15 page for the recipe. it’s also on our facebook and pinterest page. good morning! today we’ve
