Man convicted of murder sentenced to life in prison by El Paso jury
An El Paso jury has sentenced Ruben Cazares to life in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Cazares was convicted Aug. 6 of killing pregnant 18-year-old Alma Reaux in 2013 when Cazares ran her over with his jeep when he allegedly tried to steal drugs from her.
She and her unborn baby both died.
The jury found Cazares guilty on two counts of murder.
