Large job fair to be held on Aug. 19 in El Paso

Southwest University, El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Solutions Borderplex will have a job fair on Aug. 19 at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center in Downtown El Paso.

“We are excited to partner with Southwest University to co-host the largest job fair for 2015. Retaining our targeted industry concept, the job fair will be structured so that local businesses can be confident that the size of the event will not overshadow our efforts to link jobseeker skills with the specific industry sectors we plan to highlight during this day long hiring fair,” saidJoyce Wilson, CEO for Workforce Solutions Borderplex.

The job fair will be broken up into the following categories:

From 8 a.m. to noon: Healthcare, financial, transportation, call center, business and government.

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Retail, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, and staffing agencies.
