TXDOT aims to clear highway of trash
If you drive alongside I-10 heading in both the west and eastbound lanes, it wont be difficult to spot littered trash.
The trash has piled up alongside the highway due to the ongoing construction project since late June. But TXDOT said the highway hasn’t been cleared properly because of a change in contractors for the construction project.
The new contractor is in the process of mobilizing its equipment to clean up the highway, and TXDOT the clean up efforts will be greater in the coming weeks.
But supposedly the trash pickup effort isn’t new. TXDOT also said they have a current sweeping contract that sweeps the highway Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
