Search continues for a missing Chaparral man

Doa Ana County Sheriff’s detectives are hopeful the public might be able to help locate a missing Chaparral man who has not been seen since Dec. 19, 2015.

Detectives were called to the 1000 block of Enchantment Drive in Chaparral on Dec. 29 where they took an initial report of a missing 35-year-old man. According to family members, Cristobal Galindo drove off in his white Honda Civic ten days prior to that, telling his brother he would be right back. Galindo never returned, and his mother said he did not take any clothes or mentioned any plans of being gone for an extended period of time.

Galindo’s car is described as white in color with black front and rear bumpers. He is approximately six feet tall and weighs about 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo of a gunshot hole on the left side of his neck, the name ‘Galindo’ tattooed on his right forearm, and a tattoo on his left forearm of a woman’s face with the name ‘Yolanda’ underneath the face.
