One man dead after rollover in Horizon

El Paso Sheriff’s Deputies say one man is dead after a rollover in Horizon City.

The crash happened Thursday night just before 9 p.m. on the 1900 block of Asencion.

Deputies say a 55-year-old driver and an 8-year-old boy were in the the SUV when it crashed. They say the driver was ejected from the vehicle, and it’s unclear if he was wearing a seatbelt. However, deputies did tell ABC-7 that the boy was wearing a seatbelt and had no injuries.

Never-the-less, both the driver and the boy were taken to the hospital, where deputies say the driver died. Investigators have not said what relation the driver had to the boy, or what may have caused the crash.
