Friends remember ‘Frankie’ Carrasco
Francisco Carrasco was killed early Saturday. Police said a 19-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and hit the minivan Carrasco was riding in.
Saturday night, close friends of Carrasco tell ABC-7 he was an outgoing and uplifting person.
“I’ve known Frankie for about 15 years,” said Jesus Padilla.
“I’ve known him since 1992,” said Cynthia Acosta-Villalba
Villalba and Padilla say Carrasco was always on the bright side.
“Frankie was very contagious,” said Padilla
“Funny, oh my God he was so hilarious,” said Villalba
Padilla added, “No matter what time of day it was no matter what the mood called for he was always there to make you laugh.”
But the 40-year-old also had a dedicated, hard-working side.
“He was studying really hard,” Padilla said.
“He was studying for business. He had high goals for himself,” Villalba told ABC-7.
“During the day he would map himself out and close himself out and study very hard,” Padilla continued.
Although Carrasco’s friends still have a hard time believing he’s gone they say they still have memories to cherish.
“Him calling me telling me I was his favorite rainbow queen,” Villalba said.
“Waking up every day and seeing what kind of mischief he was going to get into,” Padilla added.
Frankie Carrasco’s last post on Facebook was a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt
it states:
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
