Rollover shuts down I-10 overnight

A fiery rollover shut down I-10 East at McRae early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. when an orange Dodge charger rolled over and landed on its roof in the eastbound lanes of the freeway. Emergency dispatchers tell ABC-7 the driver was taken with serious injuries to Del Sol Hospital.

The freeway was blocked for several hours as police investigated the scene and firefighters doused the car after catching fire. The freeway was re-opened by 5 a.m.

Police have not said what caused the crash.
