St. Mark’s holding fundraiser for 3D carving machine
morning– a commumity is coming together to bring technology to a local school. and their goal is within reach. good morning el paso’s denise olivas is live … denise? st. marks school is trying to get a 3-d carving machine for its students. the maker of the machine is helping the school with a crowdfunding site. i just checked– and st. marks is about 85 dollars shy of its goal. carvey cuts through plastic, wood and soft metals to create objects. students get to design what they want to create with computer software– choose their material– and then carve away. the cost– more than 26-hundred dollars for the machinery. that’s where the community has stepped up to help the school. but it needs just a little more. teachers at st. marks say the carvey is perfect tool to help with stem intiatives. “we develop a curriculum…with the machine” check out our links mentioned section at kvia.com if you’d like to donate. local veterans who need mental health services will soon have a new
