Winds pick up throughout the afternoon with rain chances by the evening
Increased clouds and decreased winds today as we await the arrival of the next Pacific storm system from the west. Later today rain chances begin to move in over southwest New Mexico in the evening hours. Overnight and especially Sunday lowland rain chances increase area wide.
Sunday afternoon with bring the chance of thunderstorms as the system passes over. . The system exits the region Monday with dry and warmer conditions returning.
Looking ahead, we see a windy and dusty day next Thursday.
