Suspect accused of firing 20 rounds into occupied motel room

The police department’s gang unit arrested a man accused of firing 20 rounds into a motel room.

Fidel Trevino, 32, is charged with three counts of Deadly Conduct.

Police say he fired the rounds into a motel room on the 6000 block of Dyer in Northeast El Paso. It allegedly happened at 12:30 am April 27, 2017.

A 28-year-old woman, 30-year-old man, and six-year-old boy were inside the room when Trevino allegedly fired the rounds.

Gang Investigators were able to recover what is believed to be the weapon used in this case, numerous 7.62 mm rounds, and a magazine containing thirty 7.62 mm rounds.

Trevino’s bond was set at $30,000.
