Spike for the Cure

The UTEP Miners held their Spike for the Cure today at Memorial Gym on campus.

The Miner volleyball team were taking on the FIU Panthers.

Our very own Estela Casas was recognized before the game today.

The girls wore pink jerseys during their warm up before the game.

UTEP’s Brianna Arellano said this when asked about the importance of awareness, “Yes definitely, everyday a family member or a friend finds out that something happened to them and of course as it maybe heartbreaking it’s a chance for that person to fight and that family to come together.”

The Miners gave it a valiant effort but they ended losing to FIU in five sets.
