EPPD: Drunk Driver speeding over 100 mph in East EP
An El Paso man is accused of driving drunk and traveling over 105 mph in a 60 mph zone, El Paso Police said Monday.
Mussab Ahmed Khalaf, 35, was stopped at 2:35 a.m. on December 9, 2018 by Pebble Hills patrol officer.
Khalaf was stopped for the speeding violation at I-10 east mile marker 32. Police charged Khalaf with DWI and booked him into the county jail on a $600 bond.
Police say statistics show DWI arrests peak during the months of November and December.
Weekends – specifically in between the hours of midnight to 3:00 a.m. – are the deadliest times with alcohol and or speeding being contributing factors in wrecks, police said.
