ABC-7 First Alert: Scattered showers and storms move into the Borderland

FA lightning

The ABC-7 First Alert continues Wednesday. A storm system over northern Baja California will make its way into the region on Thursday morning.

Strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early evening. Some storms will produce small hail and wind gusts of 40 mph, and a few storms may become severe.

Temperatures will be cooler for Thursday as a backdoor cold front moves in. We're keeping an eye on an even stronger cold front that will move in next week.
