Bridge Accelerator Program hoping to help regional supply chain businesses grow
EL PASO, Texas -- Helping our regions suppliers flourish in an already competitive market, that's the goal one organization is hoping to accomplish through its Bridge Accelerator Program.
It's a 12-week binational supplier development program created by Technology Hub with the help of technology giant Microsoft.
Millions of dollars in products and supplies are moved through El Paso's ports of entry, but a smaller percentage come from those in our region, according to Ricardo Mora, CEO of Technology Hub.
"What the program is doing is helping suppliers that are already in the supply chain business gain access to better opportunities to try...and grow that participation of the supplier base," he said.
Businesses will get weekly training sessions with experts on topics like marketing strategies, capital investment fundamentals, innovation fundamentals and technology trends just to name a new.
At the end of the program, businesses will get to pitch to big companies and compete for up to $10,000 in investment capital.
"A lot of companies are moving to the borders, both in El Paso and Juarez for near-shoring because of all the problems with China, and that supply chain needs to be strengthen," Mora said. 'It gives them access to original vendors. So I think it's a win-win for both sides and what we're doing is we're marrying these two into the program...that's why it's a bridge because we're making this connection."
The Bridge Accelerator Program is getting ready to start with its sixth cohort this March. To qualify, your business must be incorporated and be in business for at least to years. To apply click here.
