Wine lovers cool off with a cold glass as temperatures reach record-breaking highs
CANUTILLO, Texas– With temperatures reaching record-breaking highs this weekend, Borderland residents are out enjoying the clear skies, live music and relaxing with a glass of wine at the Zin Valle Vineyard.
Ryan Poulos, co-owner of the Zin Valle Vineyards, said it has been a part of the family for 18 years.
He said that staffers at the vineyard try their best to create events like this for people to still have the option to have fun while in the sun.
He said their best time of year for sales are in the fall months but, this summer, he said his sales have seen an increase compared to the start of the pandemic.
Poulos said this is a great way to beat the heat, and relax. With more than sixteen different wines, he said people have many options to choose from.
Along with that, people can enjoy some good music at no cost and the vineyard provides three complimentary samples of wine.
“There's nothing better than hanging out with friends and family outside with a little bit of food, a little bit of chilled wine," Poulous said. "We provide those ice buckets and water, keep everyone hydrated. You know people still want to go out and have a good time, and the best we can accommodate that, we try to do that."
People in the Borderland said there is no better way to enjoy the great weather.
“They have great wine, they have great people here working and it's a fun environment," said customer Michelle Catucci. "It's a great way to beat the heat so you can sit outside in the shade, if not you can be inside like I am, so you don't have to deal with it like I am and you can have a fabulous wine."
