No. 7 Penn State, Illinois deal with QB injuries

No. 7 Penn State and Illinois are both coming off bye weeks and need to get their offenses going, possibly without their starting quarterbacks. Sean Clifford was able to practice this week, but the third-year starter’s return to the practice field doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll return to Beaver Stadium when Penn State hosts Illinois. The Illini are also dealing with an injury to starter Brandon Peters.
