Luge preview: A long, winding road took US to Beijing Games

USA Luge is going to the Beijing Games with hopes of winning a medal in a third consecutive Olympics. That’s never been done in American history. But they’ll have to hold off the usual suspects to make that happen. Germany remains the most powerful luge team in the world and has gold-medal threats in all four Olympic events. Austria, Latvia and Italy also have real contenders.
