Niners look to end road struggles with win at Carolina
By The Associated Press
The San Francisco 49ers are looking for their first road win of the season when they visit the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Niners are 0-2 on the road after going 18-7 away from home over the past three seasons. The Panthers have not been very good at home, losing eight of their past nine games at Bank of America Stadium. Carolina is 5-14 at home during the coach Matt Rhule era. The 49ers have relied on the NFL’s best defense so far this season, allowing just 37 points in four games. They sacked Matthew Stafford seven times in last week’s win over the Los Angeles Rams.
