More than 2/3 of El Pasoans partially vaccinated; 4 more virus deaths

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced four coronavirus-related deaths and 105 new cases Wednesday.

The latest fatalities included a man in his 40s and one woman each in her 50s, 70s and 80s.

El Paso County's pandemic death toll increased to 2,578. There are 25 suspected Covid-19 deaths still being investigated by the health department.

The number of known active cases stands at 1,957.

There are 113 (-14) Covid-19 patients in El Paso hospitals with 35 (-3) of them in the ICU.

El Paso health department data shows that 49% of El Pasoans over the age of 16 are now fully vaccinated, with 66.8% having received at least one.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 135,186 confirmed cases with 130,555 reported recoveries.
