13 more El Paso Covid deaths, youngest victim in his 30s
EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso County experienced 13 more deaths due to Covid-19, with the youngest victim being in his 30s, and over 300 new infections during the past week, health officials announced Monday.
The weekly death toll has been holding consistent. There were 15 and 14 deaths reported, respectively, in each of the two previous weeks.
The 13 added deaths bring El Paso County's cumulative pandemic death total to 2,684. The latest victims included:
- 1 man in his 30s
- 3 men in their 50s
- 1 men in his 60s
- 3 men in their 70s
- 1 woman in her 70s
- 3 men in their 80s
- 1 woman in her 80s
Health officials indicated there were 327 additional coronavirus cases confirmed last week, which puts the current number of active infections among El Pasoans at 591.
Officials estimate that 133,833 El Pasoans who had contracted Covid-19 throughout the pandemic have since recovered from it - an increase by 136 over the prior week. However, doctors say some recovered persons may still experience lasting health impacts from virus infection.
