Nearly 1 million people attended Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
The 48th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is in the books.
Hundreds of balloons filled the sky for the Mass Ascension event on the final day.
Organizers say almost 1 million guests attended this year’s Balloon Fiesta.
The nine-day event, which ended Sunday, drew pilots from around the world and from 41 U.S. states.
The spectacle has grown over nearly five decades and infuses millions of dollars into the economy each year.
