EP Officials: We Need Medical Personnel To Volunteer

EL PASO, TX. – As commercial air liners landed at Biggs Field late Sunday afternoon,city officialsput the call outfor people with medical experience to help the evacuees from Hurricane Katrina.

The city is specificallyasking formedical personnel, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants and emergency medical technicians. Thevolunteers are needed towork in a “first aid” capacity at Convention Center.

Officials tell ABC-7 that personnel are need to fill “all shifts” at the Downtown shelter.Qualified personnel who wantmore information or would like volunteer can call the Healthcare Volunteer Registration Desk at 915-541-3718 or 915-541-3715.
