Brown Resigns As FEMA Director

WASHINGTON (AP) – Mike Brown says he has resigned as director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Brown came under fire over the federal response to Hurricane Katrina.

He was called back to Washington last week and replaced as the head of the on-site federal relief and recovery effort.
