Residents Begin Collections For Fallen Officer

Officer Angel Barcena was once an Eastwood Trooper, he graduated from Eastwood High School in 1984. So earlier Tuesday, it was no surprise that the newest generation of Troopers took up a collection for the dead police officer.

The rookie police officer and newlywed of only five weeks was killed when answering a domestic violence call on Saturday, September 25th.

Otherconcerned El Pasoans have started a memorial fund for Officer Barcena’s family. The fund is at the Bank of the West.
