Alien Abduction, Rescue, Proposal First For Museum

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) – A Roswell native staged an out of the world proposal for his girlfriend.

32 year-old Ross Savedra was touring Roswell’s UFO Museum Sunday with 23-year-old Ariana Ash when masked alien dressed in a silver suit abducted Ash.

Savedra dashed through the crowd, fought two aliens and rescued her. Then he dropped to his knee and asked her to marry him.

Museum director Julie Shuster announced over the sound system that Ash said yes. The couple embraced in a cloud of confetti tossed by onlookers and were applauded by tourists tipped off by the aliens — otherwise known as Ash’s brother-in-law and stepfather.

Shuster says the proposal was a first for the UFO Museum.
