Jogger Dies After Car Crashes Into Him
EL PASO, TX. — El Paso police officers investigated on Saturday a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on the West Side of town.
Officers say John May, 51, was jogging along the 1,000 block of Country Club Rd. around 6:30 a.m. when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.
The impact sent May’s body to the side of the road. He died at the scene.
Officers tell ABC 7 the driver of that vehicle sped away, butbasedonthe debris left at the scene, police have determined the vehicle may have been a small or mid-size brown or maroon sedan.
It should have sustained major damage to the front, officers said.
