Storm Damage Survey Released For Anthony, Vinton
EL PASO COUNTY – New estimates were released Sunday on structures in West El Paso County that were damaged by heavy rain.
The research, released by El Paso Emergency Management Personnel, shows 239 homes were affected in the village of Vinton.
More than 50 houses suffered major damage, withmost of those structures beyond repair.
The survey also indicated that Vinton lost many roads and several arroyos were destroyed as well.
Also damaged by the rain were eight public buildings.
In Anthony, Texas, the town’s sewer lines broke and the treatment plant was flooded out.
The state of Texas is also helping to repair the walls of several arroyos that were washed away.
