City Begins Setting Up Red Light Cams

EL PASO, Tx. – Red light runners in the Sun Cityare one step closer to getting their picture taken.

A spokesman for the El Paso Police Department tells ABC-7 that crews are installing red light cameras at two westcity intersections: Sunland Park Drive and South Mesa Hills and Mesa and Resler.

Officials saya red light camera is also up at the intersection of Montana and Hawkins in east El Paso.

Cameras will be installed at seven other intersections around the city, but police department officials say they haven’t decided yet when the cameras will be turned on.
