Storm ’06 Hits EPPD Vehicles Hard

EL PASO, Tx. – Another casualty of Storm 2006and theresulting floods were more than three dozen city emergency vehicles.

Like many El Pasoans, the flooded streets and washed out roadways caused a fair amount of automotive problems for El Paso Police. Officials tell ABC-7 that this weekend’s rain damaged another three units.

However the 3 cars damaged over the pastthree dayswere nothing compared to what happened during the month of August. A spokesman tells ABC-7 that the water damaged a total of 41 police units.

The spokesperson went on to say that 36 of the 41of the damaged vehicleswererepaired, while five were auctioned off.
