City Asking For Contractors To Help Repair Storm 2006 Damage

EL PASO, Tx. – The Sun City iscalling all contractors to help them repair the damage from Storm 2006.

Due to the wide-spread damage from Storm 2006, the city has put out a call for help in repairing roads, drainage areas and other damaged portions of the city.

Under a resolution approved by City Council in mid-September, City Manager Joyce Wilson now has the authorization to receive and award bids for repair work.However, beforeshe awards any contracts, the city is asking contractors to submit their qualifications for consideration.

After the city receives the information, officials will review the list of contractors then award contracts for jobs considered to be emergency repairs.

Contracts could range from drainage repairs to road work. The deadline to submit qualifications is October 22nd.
