Blaze Burns 3 Fabens Businesses

FABENS, Tx. – A blaze breaks out in the east El Paso County community of Fabens, destroying three businesses.

Fire officials tell ABC-7 thefire broke out around 7:30 a.m.in a building on Fabens road. When firefighters arrived the employees at all three businesses had already beenevacuated.

Among the businesses affected were a pizza restaurant, a flower shop and a loan company.

Crews from the Fabens Volunteer Fire Department battled the blaze for nearly 4 hours until they finally put it out.

Sheriff Deputies evacuated about 4 families from their homesdue toheavy smoke, however, there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

Officials say the building, along with the three businesses it housed, has been completely destroyed. The cause of the fireis still under investigation.
