EL PASO, Tx. – A total of 50 FBI agents conduct a trio of searches around the Sun City Thursday afternoon.
Federal agents visited the offices of Access Healthsource Incorporated, the home of Access CEOFrank Apodaca, and the home of local attorney Luther Jones.
TheFBI tells ABC-7 that they collected documents and computer data. ABC-7 tried to find both Mr. Jones and Mr. Apodaca for a comment, but we were unable to reach them.
While there is no definitive statement on why the areas were raided, ABC-7 has uncoveredan affiliation between Access and the former National Center for the Employment of the Disabled (NCED).
According to information uncovered by ABC-7, NCED used to own Access and NCED has been the target of a previous federal investigation.
ABC-7 talked to FBI officialsand questioned them about the NCED-Access connection. Federal officials responded, “It’s an ongoing investigation…this is the stage where we’re doing research and trying to put together evidence and see what we have. So, we don’t want to point any fingers at this point until we see what is all there.”
ABC-7 will continue to follow this investigation.
