NM Teen Thrown From Motorcycle, Killed
Anthony, NM. – State police have released the identity of a motorcyclist killed in a crash on New Mexico 28 west of Anthony.
He is20-year-old Casey Myer of El Paso, Texas. Officers say he was killed Sunday night when the northbound motorcycle he was driving veered off the roadway and crashed.
New Mexico State Police officials tell ABC-7 that therider crashedhis motorcycle on an open stretch of highway, just south of Chamberino. The wreck happened just after 6pm on Highway 28, nearmile marker 14.
Video from the scene shows a helmeton the ground, beside theroadway. Police could not confirm if the teen was wearing it at the time of the accident.
Officials add thatthe accidenthappened just feet away from a roadside memorial marking the spot where someone else had been killed in a traffic accident.
