Shooting Death In Horizon City

HORIZON CITY, TX. – A shooting in Horizon City has left one man dead and a woman in criticial condition.

It all happened just before midnightTuesdayon the 100 block of Lago Seco. Sheriff’s officials say they foundRogelioandHilda Diazboth shotat the home. They were both rushed to R.E. Thomason Hospital where Rogelio was pronounced dead on arrival and Hilda was rushed into emergency surgery. She is recovering, listed in stable but critical condition.

Preliminary reports indicate that Mrs. Diaz arrived home and was confronted by her husband. An argument ensued and shots were fired. Hilda Diaz was found outside the home and Rogelio was found inside. Officials believe theMr. Diazshot his wife, then turned the gun on himself.

Police officials say the investigation continues, an autopsy is pending for Mr.Diazand they are not looking for any other suspects.
