EPFD Crews Battle Pre-Dawn Apartment Fire
EL PASO, Tx. – El Paso Fire Department battled an early Sunday morning blaze at a Westside apartment complex.
EPFD officials tell ABC-7 the fire broke out in one unit of the Mountain View Apartments, along the 5800 block of Bandolero.
According to officials,the fire started with a short in some electrical wiring along the wall and the roof of the second story unit.The flames and heatforced crews to evacuate residents in that particular unit.
Crewstell ABC-7they could feel the heat from the fire in other nearby units as well. Those units were temporarily evacuated as well.
Fire officials say that crews were able to bring the blaze under control in about an hour.
