45 firefighters responded to Country Club Road and Memory around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning. When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke but had a tough time getting to it because of the amount of vegetation surrounding the structure, and the lack of light.

Once they were able to reach the burning edifice, they saw flames shooting 15 feet into the air. Officials say it was a maid’s quarters that has not been occupied for six years. Fire investigators are on the scene trying to determine what caused the fire and damages are not yet known.
