Two Teens Arrested In Connection With Playground Fire
EL PASO, TX. – On Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 investigators with the Fire Marshals Office arrested 17-year-oldMatthew Wayne Hogueand took into custody another 16-year-oldmale juvenilefor the playground fire that occurred at Edgemere Elementary School located at 10300 Edgemere in east El Paso.
The fire, which took place on Saturday September 15th 2007 at approximately8:57 p.m. caused over $1,000 in damages. Hoguewas arrested and booked in the El Paso County Jail under a $7,500 bond. The juvenilewas taken into custody and released to the custody of an adult family member.
Both subjects are facing arson charges, which is a 2nd degree felony punishable from 2 to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000.00 fine. Other charges are pending.
