Man Accused Of Brutally Beating T Or C Woman Arrested In Vegas

Truth or Consequences, NM – Police have confirmed the arrest of the man who allegedly beat his girlfriend and left her for dead.

31-year-old Phillip Richardson was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada. A background check was conducted on Richardson after he applied for temporary work at a company, police said.

He has charged with attempted murder and kidnapping in the brutal beating of Peggy Hamilton and is expected to be extradited back to New Mexico in the next few days.

According to Police, Richardson attacked Hamilton because he was mad that she played pool with another man at a local bar. The criminal complaint affidavit states, that same night, Richardson tore off her clothes and tied up her arms to her ankles. He then beat her for eleven hours, urinated in her face and left her for dead, it adds.

Police say Hamilton received serious injuries to her face, nose and eyes as a result of the beating. The victim’s daughter, Shawna Ontiveros, described her mother’s injuries as “disturbing.” “Never in my life did I dream I would ever see my mom so belittled. I would never have expected to see her so deformed,” she said.
