Mondays With Mike: 10.8

EL PASO, TX – In the wake of Saturday’s thrilling win over Tulsa, UTEP Head Football Coach Mike Price stressed the importance of his team not looking ahead and taking the remainder of the season one game at a time.

“It’s too early to be thinking about bowl games,” he said.

At Monday’s press conference, Price said it was very important for his team to get off to a great start in conference play. The Miners are currently 2-0 in Conference USA and 4-1 overall.

Price did not give any specific details about injuries sustained by some of his players, saying only that he would provide more information after the team’s first practice this week.

The coach did praise the play of quarterbacks Trevor Vittatoe and Loren Sam. According to Price, the combination has kept opponents guessing all year long.
