Minor Injuries Reported In School Bus Accident

FARMERSVILLE, TX. (AP) – There’s been a school bus accident in a small town northeast of Dallas.

The accident happened on U.S. 380 in western Farmersville when a vehicle collided with a Farmersville school bus in a heavy rain storm, toppling the bus.

Farmersville school district spokeswoman Vicki Dowell says some minor injuries were reported among student passengers aboard the bus. Dowell says the bus was carrying students to all four district schools.

Messages left with Farmersville police by The Associated Press haven’t been returned, but investigators tell KRLD Radio in Dallas that 1-2 people have been taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Farmersville is a town of about 3,500 residents 35 miles northeast of Dallas.
