Suspect Wanted By Denver PD Arrested By Customs Agents In El Paso
EL PASO, TX. – U.S. Customs officers performing arrested a man wanted byDenver police on an outstanding warrant for Vehicular Homicide on Tuesday at the Ysleta International port of entry.
Just before 7 p.m.Tuesdaynight, 36-year-old Salvador Marquez Favela approachedCustoms officers and advised them he had done something wrong in Denver.
OfficersinvestigatedFavela’s claims and learned he waswantedby Denver PD.Marquez Favela wasarrested and then turned over to the El Paso Police Department for transport to the El Paso County Jail.
According to a Denver police department news release, “The department’s Traffic Investigations Bureau has obtained an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Salvador Marquez for Vehicular Homicide.”
Marquezallegedly ran over a 25-year-old man who was crossing the street in the early morning of Saturday October 20, 2007.Marquez fled the scene and the victim was transported to Denver Health Medical Center where he died.
