Dan was born in Joplin, MO. to an Army family. Following his birth, the family was stationed in Japan. After living there 3 years, they jumped around several times. Dan says he remembers living in five states in nine different locations. He attended 4 elementary schools, 2 junior high schools, and 2 high schools. He came to El Paso to stay with his mother while his father was in Vietnam, and while he was here, attended UTEP. After graduating from UTEP with a BA in Business Administration, he joined the U.S. Army Reserves as a 2 nd Lieutenant serving at Ft. Sill, OK. He returned to El Paso in 1976, and has lived here since.

Dan started in the media business as an Account Executive at KINT-98. He then joined KELP-AM, and became General Sales Manager. In 1978, he helped launch a new rock station, KFIM-FM 92.3, which now operates as KOFX. He transitioned into television here at KVIA starting as an account executive. Dan is our National Sales Manager, and has been in Sales Management since 1986.

Danhas 2 children, Myles and Mason. He enjoys snow skiing and racquetball.
