Farmington Woman Dies After Rollover Crash

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – A Farmington woman sleeping in the back seat of an sport utility vehicle has died as a result of a rollover accident.

State police say the woman’s daughter fell asleep at the wheel last night along Interstate 25 near Radium Springs and the vehicle rolled. Thirty-six-year-old Theresa Martinez was thrown from the vehicle and died a short time later.

Her daughter, 19-year-old April Padilla, is in critical but stable condition at an El Paso, Texas, hospital. The woman’s son, 14-year-old Michael Padilla, is in stable condition at a Las Cruces hospital.
