Fire Damages Office In Albuquerque Abortion Clinic
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – The FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are helping the Albuquerque Fire Department investigate a fire that broke out in an abortion clinicThursday night.
Fire department spokeswoman Melissa Romero says the cause of the fire is unknown. The fire broke out in the office of Curtis Boyd, an Albuquerque-area abortion provider.
That’s according to Alexis Rice, communications director for the National Abortion Federation.
Battalion Commander Victor Marquez says the office was in a building that housed several medical offices, but firefighters put out the blaze within minutes and only one room was severely burned.
