By Ashlie Hardway

EL PASO — Many native El Pasoans are back in the Sun CityMonday to spend time with their families for the holidays.

Hundreds of travelers waited for theirluggage and Christmas presents before leavingthe ElPaso International Airport to spend time with their families. Everywhere you look in the arrival area, people are smiling, hugging and happy to be home.

Parents, grandparents and relatives waited anxiously for their loved ones to step off of planes. Surprisingly, the arrival and departure board at the airport didn’t show any flight delays from other cities.

However, one El Paso native who landed Moday with her family, said her flight to the Sun City was anything but direct.

Her family’s flight was scheduled to leave Madison, Wisconsin on Friday. After two cancellations, her family of four had to sit on a bus from Madison to Chicago, Illinois, where they finally caught the flight to El Paso.
